Computational Biomechanics of Trabecular Bone Remodeling

Research Subjects and Results

We demonstrated that cell-scale (10 micron) remodeling in response to mechanical stimulation created functional trabecular structures of the entire bone-scale (10 cm).

Future Target

Details of functional adaptation mechanism is to be understood by means of biomechanical modeling and simulation.
