Research Subjects and Results

My research interests lie in the areas of computational mechanics. I have been involved in the development of the extended finite element method (XFEM) in order to perform crack propagation simulation for cracked structures.
In the VCAD project, I have developed the simulation program based od XFEM using VCAD data provided by the VCAD framework. The development method has been validated by comparion between the sumulated results and the fatigue tests.

Future Target

The developed method will be applied to the fatigue crack propagation simulation under mixed mode conditions.
